I was pleased with my purchase of the lattice obelisk. it is not for plants, but for garden lighting. We put 2 strings of global lights on it, put it on a timer and now it lights the path from our garden to the drive way. The heavy construction made it strong enough to be very stable, yet it needed additional hooks into the ground to prevent the wind from knocking it over. My husband accomplished this with bent pieces of rebar driven into the ground hooking the bottom of the lattice.

Has a great presence, but haven't started growing anything on it yet...wait til spring. But it is sturdy and will withstand the wind and weather, so I don't have to worry about replacing a mature clematis...whenever they get mature!
