The sundial came with no instructions as how to put it together or how to set it up in your garden for the most accurate time telling. The top of the sundial does not tighten up very well to its base,so it keeps falling forward. The screw given to attach the bottom base to the pedastal top plate, was too small and the sundial moves around on the top base and the hole shows as well.

The roman pedastal I ordered (which I was told you have to use a Whitehall pedastal with a Whitehall sundial)to display the sundial, did come with instructions but the screws which accompanied it were too small to actually hold the top to the base. So when I try to screw them in to the bottom of the pedastal plate,they fall down into the pedestal base and the sundial falls off. No, I would not recommend this sundial, nor the roman pedastal base.
