I was looking for a small, stylish fixture for our 1930's stone row house porch. Also, a single bulb fixture was all I needed.
This fixture provided the sense of style I needed, without being either too gaudy or too simple of a square fixture. The quality of light put out through the opal glass is pleasantly warm, and I am guessing that it will retain much of its warmth when I eventually replace the bulb with a compact fluorescent.

I did not install it myself, so I cannot really judge the ease of installation.

This outdoor light is absolutely beatiful. We liked the light from the picture, but a picture cannot do this light justice. It is perfect for the entrance to our historic building.
