The instructions were okay, but the holes for the chair back were not deep enough to get the screws all the way in, so I had to completely disassemble it and use a power drill to make the holes deeper. One arm of the chair arrived with a deep gouge, but I did not notice this before I'd destroyed the packing or I would have returned it. I can't say if it's a good value until it's withstood a season or two of being outdoors. It is very upright so good for sitting at a table to eat or read, but it definitely needs cushions.

Although we had to wait more than two months to get the chairs and communication with the company was not very good, the chairs finally arrived and we are very happy with them. They have a beautiful, rich color/finish, seem quite sturdy, are comfortable and look great with the square checkerboard IC table we also purchased. We will probably order two more chairs in the foreseeable future.
