We already owned a Minka Aire fan for our bedroom and are very happy with it so when it came time to replace the one in our living room we pretty much just focused our search on the Minka Aire products. This one did not disappoint. Beautiful, tasteful, elegant styling and the perfect hight for a low ceiling room. The installation was simple and well thought and the fan operation is smooth and trouble free. The only gripe I have is that the directions for programming the remote were out of date in the product manual. They talked about manually setting the dip switches in the fan unit to match the setting on the remote. After some time trying to figure out where the dip switches were are the fan, I found out there are none! You simply set the dip switches in the remote to the desired setting then follow a sequence described in the directions to sync up the fan to that setting. They do have a small sticker on the inside of the fan unit that describes this but its not obvious. A little flyer in the box alerting people to this would have been better. We highly recommend Minka Aire products, personally I have not found a better brand than Minka for fans!

Beautiful fan!! Well worth the cost.

Overall the fan is up and working looks okay but not as nice as in the photo....Finish on the fan housing is more BLACK than a rich brown as we expected. With ceiling height restrictions we settled, plus sending back, picking out another fan with same features was too much of a hassle for us. Blades are nice...helps with the disappointment in housing color. Fast delivery and customer service was good.
